A Complete Dual-Experiment Tool

The Instrument for measuring liquid viscosity helps students complete two key physics experiments. One experiment uses the fluid method to measure liquid viscosity. The other experiment uses the pull-off method to measure liquid surface tension. This instrument works with water as the test medium. Water is easy to get and low cost. It also needs very simple maintenance. The water tank is made of clear acrylic. It has a diameter of 80mm and a height of 500mm. The inner diameter is 74mm. A scale and a tank cover are included. This instrument uses a uniform water release method to lower the liquid surface smoothly. This way the aluminum ring leaves the liquid surface without shaking. This method removes the measurement error caused by vibration when pulling the ring upward. A separate movable leveling bubble comes with the hanging ring. It lets you adjust the ring's level more accurately. The liquid surface then stays perpendicular to the ring during lifting. The instrument uses a new micro-tension sensor. Its sensitivity is about 2.76V/N. The force range is 0-0.098N. The non-linear error is ≤0.1%. The supply voltage is 5V. A 5-pin aviation plug connects the sensor to the main unit. The tension display is a 200mV 3.5-digit digital voltmeter. The display accuracy is 0.1mV. A multi-turn potentiometer adjusts zero. A peak hold function keeps the maximum tension value when the ring pulls away from the liquid. TheInstrument for measuring liquid viscosity also includes a tension sensor calibration experiment. This adds more learning value.

The hanging ring is made of aluminum alloy. Its outer diameter is 35mm. The inner diameter is 33mm. The height is 8mm. Three rotating screw leveling screws make leveling simple. Seven calibration weights of 0.5g each are supplied. The capillary tube length is 150mm. The capillary outlet uses a unique magnetic stopper. This stopper opens and closes easily and reliably. The instrument has a built-in digital stopwatch. The timing display accuracy is 0.1S. The timer range is 0.1S to 999.9S with 0.1S accuracy. This digital stopwatch can also work as a separate high-accuracy timer. The unit stores up to 15 sets of timing data. A remote control for timing recording is included. It helps students record experimental data easily. You can start and stop timing using the remote control or the panel buttons.
