Description

Three Types of Solar Panels

This Solar Cell Characterization Apparatus uses a vertical design, which helps prevent light from shining into other students' eyes. The light source is a tungsten lamp with smoothly adjustable (stepless) intensity. A light power meter is used to measure illumination intensity. Its spectral response range is 300 to 1000 nm, with a peak wavelength of 700 nm. The system includes three types of solar panels: monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, and amorphous silicon. Each panel has an active area of 42 mm × 42 mm. The maximum voltage is 2.5 V, and the maximum short-circuit current is 130 mA. This apparatus is ideal for new energy courses.

Adjustable Load and Tilt Angle

This Solar Cell Characterization Apparatus includes a resistor box with four adjustment ranges: ×1, ×10, ×100, and ×1000. The voltmeter is a 3.5-digit display with a range of 19.9 V and an accuracy of 0.01 V. The ammeter is also a 3.5-digit display, with a range of 19.9 mA and an accuracy of 0.01 mA. The solar panel tilt angle can be adjusted from 0° to 60°, allowing students to observe how angle affects power output. The kit includes a control box, main unit, three solar panels, a light power meter, a resistor box, and a light shield. The control box measures 200 × 250 × 250 mm, and the main unit measures 180 × 200 × 430 mm. The system is complete and ready for use.

Four Important Experiments

With this Solar Cell Characterization Apparatus, students can perform four experiments. First, they measure short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage, maximum power, optimal load, and fill factor under different light intensities. Second, they measure the forward bias current-voltage curve in the dark. Third, they analyze how short-circuit current and open-circuit voltage vary with light intensity. Fourth, they study how voltage and current change with different incident light angles. We offer a one-year warranty, and repeat orders benefit from faster delivery due to pre-prepared components. Our brand, Longbow, has 25 years of experience in manufacturing physics teaching equipment. This apparatus is an excellent choice for laboratory education.
